How do I get a tampon to fit?

I wanted to use a tampon for the first time. Let me tell you it hurt so bad I could only get it in half way. My friends say it’s so easy and that they show stuff up their vagines all the time. I know all of them are different but like nothing will go up. And don’t tell me to relax either because no matter what I do nothing goes up. Please help it hurts so much.

You can’t force it..... if your using the wrong one it can be uncomfortable or hard to insert so look at alternatives like ones with applicator the are easier to use or try and cup and if not talk to your GP in case there is another issue

Tampons should not cause any pain or discomfort. I'd go back to using pads and seek advice from a parent or doctor.

Did you try when not on period?
Because don't choose a fit by that.
Easiest to start is to buy the smallest ones or (regular ones). And try when you are on your period.
