First time mom bottle ?

We are transitioning my 14m old from bottle to cup this summer. He made the transition from formula to milk from 11m to 12m no problem! 
My question is what is the difference between a bottle of milk versus a cup of milk before bed dental wise?
 I hear a lot of parents comment how its not good to leave milk on their teeth. And we are vivid teeth brusher once in the am & once at bathtime.

Whether it’s in a bottle or cup you need to brush teeth before bed. Milk rot is a thing so yes don’t let them drink it after brushing. If they must drink something between brushing and bed make it water.

Just give milk before brushing teeth. I always give milk with supper or bedtime snack and then bedtime routine comes after.

My kiddos dentist said that bottles can cause crooked teeth so we stopped bottles at 12 mo. We do a sippy cup of milk after the bath then brush teeth. Milk on the teeth can cause rotting of the teeth.
