How much to spend at Disney?

My family and I have never been to Disney in Florida. We plan on going. I was wanting to know if you can use Disney gift cards inside the park for like food and Souvenirs? Also would $340 budget be okay for total of two days, one park each day. We will have two adults and two toddlers ages 2.5 and 4 when we go. 
I know weird budget but we are trying to only spend $1000 for the two days so after we pay our tickets we’ll have $340 left. I heard everything Is crazy expensive in the park. So I’m kinda nervous and just want to know what other people spend while at Disney in Florida. We are not rich and it’ll probably be a long time till we ever go again after checking it off our bucket list lol

If tickets and hotel are already covered and the money is just for food then yes you can definitely feed everyone for 2 days off $340. Also if you have a full kitchen then you can make breakfast there and even dinner or lunch if you wanted. You can bring snacks and drinks in the park as well. 
There are grocery stores not far from disneyworld within 10 minute drive. So if you have a car you can go pick up some groceries or have some delivered from Instacart to save money. 
We stayed at the fort wilderness cabins for 5 days and we had a kitchen and bbq. We ended up making breakfast everyday in the cabin and dinners some days too. This saved us a ton of money since buying all your food in Disney world can add up fast. 
You can use disney gift cards at the stores in disneyworld but I’m not sure about the restaurants.

I dont have disneyworld experience but if you could find a super cheap hotel, and pack your own snacks/drinks/lunches and only get 1meal and snack in the park/day you might be able to swing it. Don't forget to think about transportation also.

You definitely cannot do Disney on that budget it’s extremely ridiculously expensive for EVERYTHING. Have you looked up tickets just to get in the park??

Ok...so 340 for 2 days, so $170.00 per day.
With 4 people traveling to hit that budget goal you couldn't spend more than $42.50 per person, per day.
Assuming you are spending the entire day in the park....You can swing it, but just go prepared. 
Bring snacks and lunch with you. A small cooler with some drinks would be helpful too. The only drawback is that you are going to be lugging a ton of stuff with you. If you bring a stroller, you can stow most of it under the seat.

Are you staying with relatives??? I don’t. Think you can do Disney World on that budget. It’s mighty expensive.
