Want 1 more baby but…

I’m turning 37 years old next month and I have two kids from a previous relationship that are seven and nine years old. I want one more baby and my boyfriend wants kids as well but he has fertility issues. We aren’t sure exactly what the problem is because he’s never had a consultation. I made him an appointment and our insurance does not cover these types of services so we would have to pay $300 for a consultation. He sounded like he didn’t want to do it anymore once I told him how much it was going to cost. He said that’s just to talk to somebody and that it’s probably going to be very expensive for testing and things like that which is probably true. But if you really want something you find a way to do it. It just sucks because I feel like he doesn’t want to even try and pretty soon I will be too old. I’m not being selfish but I also don’t feel like I should have to give up just because he is. 😢
