Waiting to hear back from the doctor but wanting an opinion….
We got a small pool in our yard, it’s only about 10x10 and about 30inches deep. I brought my 3 year old in on Sunday for the first time. It’s about up to her chest but she still had a floatation device on anyway. Well I’m pretty sure she inhaled a little water, she choked a little, but was fine after. Yesterday she was perfectly normal. Then this morning she was doing this hiccuppy thing that sounded like when a dog is about to throw up. After it passed, she said she choked. (She’s never thrown up so she doesn’t know what that would feel like). Well she went back to sleep, and I checked on her constantly until we just s decided to wake her. She said her throat was hurting. Then she was snuggling on my husband and started the hiccuppy thing again so he said her up and she basically threw up a little bit of clear liquid.
I called her doctors office and left a message to get a callback from a nurse and they still haven’t called me back. It’s been almost 6 and a half hours now and I’m not sure if I should maybe send a message on mychart (which I prob should have done in the first place…) Any opinions on what it could have been or if I should still be concerned?
After she threw up she said again that she choked and her throat hurt from it. She didn’t want anything to eat for a while, but now she seems normal so I’m not really sure.
