i’m ebf lo is 5 months old. i’m barely pumping 2oz I have no clue why my supply dipped all of a sudden.. my right nipple has been hurting and i didn’t know why bc it’s not cracked or bleeding looks normal except when I touch it and rubs onto my clothing.. I still feed her from that side and pump as well but hurts like crazy.. I was feeling for anything and I felt a knot where the pain is.. felt the other nipple and that knot isn’t there.. anyone know what this could be and if it’s causing my supply to dip?

Could be a clogged duct, which can turn into mastitis if you are not careful. I would take a hot shower or bath and try massaging it. If you can’t get the duct unclogged, I would reach out to your doctor to see if antibiotics are recommended. If your breast gets a red, hot spot, get antibiotics immediately.

If it is a clogged duct, you’ll want to nurse as much as possible as the baby is the best at unclogging your duct. If it’s a stubborn clog, I would try using a heating pad on the area and then try nursing on all 4s to allow gravity to help. That it what helped when I got mastitis. If you start to feel ill (flu like symptoms) you’ll need antibiotics for the infection.
