Bf called me cheap

I just feel so embarrassed.

Recently I’ve been struggling financially, I have a child from a previous relationship my bf has none. Anyways the beginning is always hard because of so many payments plus I signed my daughter up for swimming lessons because my bf said he was going to pay for it (hasn’t paid anything) so that isn’t helping..

Sunday is my dads birthday and I’m barely able to get him a card, Monday is his sisters birthday. & he kept asking me what am I getting them I said I’m sorry but nothing because I just can’t, maybe a card? And he chuckles and says wow really? That’s all??? I said yes I’m struggling right now and he just throws out “that’s pretty cheap” I feel so embarrassed now and don’t even want to stop by for their dinner.

Now I just want to see if I can clean my family’s homes just to get some extra change. I feel so so embarrassed
