Breaking the Age Gap to Family
Some context here:
I'm in my late 20's and divorced. My family is very conservative and now because of my past failed marriage very protective and judgemental of my love life decisions. I appreciate that they care enough to worry, but I also want them to be supportive.
I'm currently dating a man 19 years my senior. In addition to that, he has a teenage daughter. We've been together half a year and I'm over the moon with our relationship, and I've just recently told my father that I'm dating someone.
How do I go about sharing these details about my new partner? I know it will be a question that comes up if they meet and I don't say anything ahead of time.
