Anyone have family live closeby who refuse to watch your kids?

Question

My family all lives within an hour of me and no one ever offers or wants to watch my 2 kids even if I pay them. Of course they’re my kids and I’m a stay at home Mom so I watch them full time, however when I’m overwhelmed and need a break even for a few hours none of them care to.
I have a 6 year old and one year old and both are perfectly behaved. When friends have watched them they are always “angels” and are “easy to take care of.” 
My family just has no interest. My mom lives an hour away and “doesn’t want to because no one could watch her kids so why should she babysit mine”. She has never watched my kids. 
My dad lives 10 minutes away and doesn’t want to because he wants to relax with “no noise”, he won’t even watch them for an hour for my husband and I to go out to dinner. 
My 25 year old jobless sister lives 30 minutes away and I even offered to pay her to watch them so my husband and I could have date nights a few times a month, she said no as she doesn’t want kids so I guess doesn’t care to watch mine.
My husbands parents live out of state and have never spent alone time with kids either.
Anyone else have family like this? I love my kids but sometimes would be nice to have a few hours without them to unwind with my husband and no family will watch them even if I pay them.

 The new saying is you had the kids you wanted them don't expect others to help you because it no longer takes a village.

I wouldn't allow them to see them then🤷 I can't really blame your sister though, she doesn't like or want kids so that's somewhat understandable. But your parents, I mean that just sounds lazy.

I’ve never experienced this. The only reason my family doesn’t watch my kids is because the are too far away + my parents were never in good enough health to watch a small child. My husbands family has always been willing if they have nothing else going on.
However I would ask around for a young college student, co worker, cousin etc who wouldnt mind watching since you are willing to pay. I used to be on care. Com and know people who have had success there also.

My mil offer to take my 2 for the day about once a month, sometimes it just oldest. She get sattled with her daughters 3 kids multiple times a week because "she needs a break from her wild ones" the 1st 2 are just obnoxious lol. I dont ask if she'll take them unless I really really need to

Yes 😒We used to live 10 mins from my husband’s parents. When I was 7 months pregnant with our first child, I asked my MIL if she was excited about having another grandchild (she already had other 2 grands at the time). She responded, “No, been there done that, and don’t expect me to watch your kid either.” 😳🤨 It was so random. That was 14 years ago. She watches the other grandkids (overnight) and even keeps them for weeks in the summer. But still refuses to watch the ones from my husband and I, but got mad when her sister watched our kids (which has only been twice)  🤷🏾‍♀️

I don't know any family who is like that. Most grandparents & aunts/uncles & cousins would be thrilled to watch them. I could understand maybe if you were taking advantage because I mean I'm sure they have lives too, but if it's just every now & then thing, I don't see it as a big deal. I grew up in a warm family. Everybody always was happy to help out!

I'm blessed to have a wonderful mom and wonderful in laws that love to watch my kids, but if I didn't I would hire a babysitter when needed and whenever "family" asks if they can see my kids I'd refuse to let them

My husband’s parents are like this but I don’t want them to babysit anyway because they aren’t very responsible (they wanted to let my 4 year ride in the car without a car seat because car seats aren’t necessary in their opinion). I’m grateful my parents are willing to watch them as i would have no other babysitter. I would try care.com or similar site since you are willing to pay. I’m sorry your family  isn’t  helpful.
