Babys first fever 🤒

My little one is 29 weeks old and it seems as if she has finally caught her first bug of some kind. I feel so bad for her because that usual brightness is gone from her sweet little eyes. We are going in day 2 with this fever, it gets pretty high. At one point it was at 103.00. (When using an ear thermometer one side always reads a degree or so higher than thr other??) Doc said not to give her anything unless she seems bothered by them, which she has slowly been getting more and more irritable than she was in the beginning. So she's has a few doses of tylenol. Besides the fever she really has no other symptoms. Anyone have any tips on how to help soothe her through this? How long should i let these continue before seeking medical attention?
