Am I the only one who hates leaving the house with my kids?

I seriously hate it. My kids are 3 and 1 and taking them into public is like torture. One of them is always crying or unhappy and making a scene. Sometimes they both do. I can’t relax. I can’t focus on whatever errand I’m trying to do. My husband always asks me “why don’t you go shopping?” when I’m home with them all day and I’m like “I cannot express how horrible that sounds to me.” Taking them to a park is really no better either because my 3 year old has the listening skills of a rock and my 1 year old just wants to sit on top of me and whine. So I honestly just stay at home 24/7 unless I can rarely sneak away when my husband is off and can watch them.

Mine are the same age… I don’t take them to run errands, they stay home with my husband. 
We always go out and do Stuff like walks, parks, zoos, splash pads… I definitely bring my double stroller so I can strap them in if needed especially my 1 year old and my 3 year old is getting better at listening. 
I give Consequences if she’s not like if your not listening or staying close you’re going to have to sit in the stroller or we’re going to go home… and I stick to them. Now she knows if she’s not listening we’re leaving or not doing something she wants to. 
They’re smart and figure it out pretty quick. 
My 1 year old is a disaster but what can you expect 🤷🏼‍♀️

I also highly recommend curbside pickup. For us its like 4 bucks more but seriously will save u an hour at least.

Yes I feel the exact same way. My kids are good in public (they’re 2 and 1), but it’s just so exhausting. The car seats, the constant supervision, constant energy. I just can’t. It gives me so much anxiety just thinking about it. I stay home too.

I have a 3 year old and 1 year old too. I definitely relate! COVID hasn’t helped because my oldest is SO excited to go out that she wants to run all over the place. I don’t mind the park as long as it’s not crowded but going to the mall gives me anxiety. I know I’ll have to just do it and eventually it will get better. 
I’d say keep trying. Plus getting out of the house for you is important too

Maybe try some parenting books (I don't think you're a bad parent!!). I do think these books offer advice and reassurance that you're not crazy. 
For an example, I use love and logic to help my LOs and my students follow my guidance. 
I also do pickup orders instead of shopping with my kiddos! Lol I just make sure something delicious is being picked up for them too 😋

My youngest kids are 21 months and 5 months. Just loading them and their necessities in the car  alone takes me forever. And I’m in FL so carrying them out separately and buckling in etc is enough to result in full sweating. Unfortunately my husband works 24hr shifts so I have to do this often to get an older child to and from the bus stop. It’s like a workout and when I’m done and back home I haven’t even accomplished much but a van ride 🤦‍♀️ I’ll be so excited when they can walk to the van themselves, climb in, and buckle. Actually doing all that AND going inside somewhere would involve the monstrous double stroller and at least one of them would probably melt down or blow out so no I don’t really go anywhere alone ever at this stage.

I just had my second child last week and I have a 22 month old. I’m dreading our first outing where it’s just me. I don’t know how I’m going to do it. 🤯

YES to all of this! I love how husband's are just like why not go? As if it's a walk in the park. It's such a chore. I have an 18 month old and a 3 month old 🥴🥴🥴

It is so hard! Especially at those ages! I mostly do pick up these days.
