Low vitamin B12 and iron in pregnancy...

So my iron levels came back slightly low at 32 weeks, I was put on 2 ferrous sulphate 210mg daily. At 34 weeks my bloods came back low in iron and B12, I was told to carry on the iron tablets and that a doctor would be in touch about B12.. 3 days later I got a call from the doctors pharmacist saying the GP didn’t have much experience in giving B12 during pregnancy so wasn’t happy until he’d spoken to a consultant, but they were struggling to get through to a consultant. I called the midwife and she said she would follow it up, i attended my 36 week appt on 3rd August, the midwife had forgotten until I mentioned it and she said I’ll follow it up I did forward an email from the consultant to GP... then it never got mentioned so I called the Doctors surgery the following day and finally got a call back saying it has been looked at and I’ll need 6 injections over a 2 week period, got given the dates and now I have received a text saying it has been rearranged to start a day later.... I’ll be 37 weeks when starting it, can this be affecting my baby? To be left untreated for 3 weeks from them finding out? I feel like the communication between them has been awful!
