Stop Biting…

How do I stop my 16 month old from biting. She has recently taken up biting and will just go up to things (me, the dog, the dining chair, any toy) & she just bites. She doesn’t do it to be mean. Sometimes she comes up to me with her mouth fully open & then she just chomps on my thigh. She smiles after like she’s playing but it hurts and I firmly tell her no and then she cries. How do I teach her to not bite or get her attention to something else? Anybody have experience with this? My first never bit…

I’ve given her teething toys and things she can bite (kind of like a dog which I feel bad about lol 😂 ) just so she knows those are things in which she CAN bite if she feels that’s necessary but I don’t think she’s quite grasping that concept lol. Help please..
