Would you leave your church if you knew your very religious parents could tell?

For context, I was baptized and raised Mormon, and stopped attending when I was 18, then completely rejected about a year later. Mormon churches keep your records, and oddly enough regardless of independence your parents can see them. There’s also no rules regarding confidentiality. You can formally “resign” from this church to have your records removed, so you are no longer a member. However, if your parents request certain paperwork they can see if anyone in their immediate family has left, OR if their immediate leadership know you’ve left they can absolutely tell them.

My parents and most of my family are DEVOUT. I’m not a dick, I don’t want to break my parents hearts. But I’m tired of having any documented association with mormonism, because of some of their straight up hurtful and gross doctrine, ideals, whatever. It caused a LOT of damage with my self esteem, mental health, and self acceptance (being like, oh, I like girls, at 19). And I’m still working on pushing through and past that. But that being said I don’t know if my being a baptized member and nothing else is something to really start a whole thing over.

TL;DR I want to officially leave Mormonism, but my devout family may or may not find out.
