What is your favorite way to shop for clothing?

I need to be in person to see and try things on.
Not that I buy the "right" size- the dress I'm wearing is a large- but my size is supposedly a XS. Yet it fits. 
I just eye things and if the look like they'll work, I try em on. 
(I shop at thrift stores almost exclusively- to explain the size thing.)
So I feel like I actually have to see the clothing to know if I'll like it, as I choose by eyeing it or by fit when it's on. 
I bought shoes from poshmark one time, and I was unsatisfied with the outcome- they are beautiful shoes, and they fit, but they are not as comfortable as I need, and they are too loud when I walk. In the store I immediately would have said no to them.

I love the instant gratification of shopping in the store but online has better options and deals.

I got into buying stuff off of online because before I couldn’t find my size in stores but since having a breast augmentation and me gaining weight these past 2 years, now I find it so much better shopping in store to make sure I absolutely love the item and don’t have some that pile up that I’ll never wear and too lazy to go through the whole returning process.
