Pumping to induce labour?

Question

Bit of a weird one. 
My due date is next Monday 6th Sept. I am sooooooo done lol
I’ve heard that pumping breasts can help induce labour. Is this true? 
Does anyone have any success stories or positive stories? 
I’ve not lost my plug or had a show yet, so I have a feeling this little man is far too comfy in there. Sounds awful, but I want to help this little guy on his way out of me 🤣

I was told not to pump by my doctor.  You can do nipple stimulation though.

You’d have to pump at least 6 hours a day for it to have any chance of effectiveness.  That will just cause a lot of pain before you want to latch baby on 😬

Supposedly nipple stimulation, by hand or pump can help. So can sex and walking the curb. Good luck

Idk just try all the wives tales ones I guess like sex if u can tollerate it, loads of fresh pineapple... walking if u can. But really baby will come when they are ready if everything is going well. I was 40wks 1day. I had acupuncture and acupressure at 11am by 3pm i was in labor. Had him at 7pm!! Natural. Oh I also had a stretch n sweep at 38wks 3days and 39wks 3days.

Thanks all. I’ll give it a miss then. Sound like I’m just going to spend many hours making my nipples sore for little productivity lol! 
Trying to convince my husband to have sex with me is not going well as I’m an actual hippo 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️
And I’m on crutches due to hyper mobile joints so long walks out the window. 
I’ll just be good and play the waiting game. Ooorrr make a very spicy curry and pray!

I got the approval to pump around 37 weeks. It takes awhile compared to other types of self induction because it has to be every hour for 5-10 mins on each side (quicker if you do both together). It also is known to cause inconsistent contractions too so if youre only doing it to try to induce i wouldnt bother
