Pregnant after miscarriage

Hi there. I recently miscarried (bled from July 19-25), and my husband and I wanted to try for our rainbow baby immediately. I used ovulation sticks to determine when ovulation would be and to see which would happen first—ovulation or my period.

The ovulation tests indicate I ovulated Aug 11/12, so we BD-ed. And on Aug. 24, I had a faint positive pregnancy test. It’s gotten a lot darker now.

Yesterday, Aug. 31, I went in for a transvaginal ultrasound and while I had a thick endometrium and mass by the ovary that looked like corpus luteum, there was no sac.

The OB-sonologist said that it would be difficult to tell how far along I am because I didn’t have a cycle/period after coming straight from a miscarriage. I will be back next week for another check because by manual computation, doctor suspects I’m about 5 weeks along.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? I know all pregnancies are different, but I’m spooked and anxious like crazy because I don’t want to lose another baby…on top of that, I’ve been feeling some discomfort in my abdomen (although it feels more like gas and indigestion).

Would love to hear from mommas that conceived immediately after pregnancy loss. :(
