Pooping after delivery

I’m almost one full day postpartum and they had me take a laxative hours ago today. It started working but when I tried to poo, it was so hard for anything at all to come out and I just sat there in pain trying to push but nothing. Then I took miralax (I’m still in hospital) and no difference after a few hours. Then I asked for a rectal suppository and after a few min I felt like I had to go but nope, it was just a couple of pebbles. 🙄 I’m going crazy this is so painful I don’t think I’ll ever poop again

Update: after around 8 hours of being in horrible pressure and agony and talking to 4 different nurses, they finally decided to give me milk of magnesia. That 100% did the trick and I am a new woman lol! Would recommend 10/10 if this ever happens to you!
