D&c or the pill?

This is my second mc back to back. I was 9 week in for my second ultrasound. The first ultrasound I had at 6 weeks there was a heartbeat. This time baby growth stopped at 8 weeks and no heartbeat. My options are d&c or pills. I almost want the pills so I can see what actually comes out (I know it sounds weird) but I would like to burry the fetus if I could see it when it comes out rather then it get vacuumed out and thrown away. But I also would like to speed up the recovery time so I can start trying again as soon as I can. This is all so hard

I will be having my D&C Thursday.  This is my first  loss and it hurts so much. I will be 9 weeks that day.

With my first mc at 11w I decided to let it go naturally, which was very intense, but even with the agony it was sort of a comfort that I could understand that it was my body that rejected it and not medicine. A d&c was performed afterwards to make sure all was out.
The second time I opted for a d&c directly at 9w, to skip all the stress. The dr. proposed this to be able to do a check on the foetus for any genetic defects. 
The third time I was at 16 weeks and I had to be induced, and afterwards I had a d&c under local anaesthesia. 
So having experienced it all, I would prefer/recommend a d&c under full anaesthetic. The moment you go under and get to disconnect from all the stress is helpful. But I guess that is a state of mind you need to be in. That would be something you need to figure out for yourself.

I did the pill fir 3 missed miscarriages. I passed everything with one dose. Cramping was bad but I got to be home with my dog and husband. And it was far more cost effective (like $10 v $1200 with insurance). I don’t think the healing time is much different between them

I had the same thing happen. I tried cytotec twice a week apart and it only made me bleed heavily. Each of my ultrasounds still showed I hadn't passed everything.  After 3 weeks of bleeding I still needed a D&C. 
If I could do it all over again,  I would have just done the D&C first. It was painless and then my miscarriage was over.

Pills for anything before 10 weeks, d&c for after

I did pills so I could be at home but I started passing clots before I took them. It's less invasive
