Light headed and constantly having hot flashes?

I’m 34 weeks and I have been having hot flashes randomly and I get super light headed from doing barely anything. I’m not dehydrated that I’m aware of and I’m eating. Is this just normal??

Make sure you’re eating enough protein to keep you fueled between meals. It could be your blood sugar dropping. Anytime mine dips, I start getting super hot and sweaty and lightheaded. It happened an hour and a half after breakfast last week. I’ve added more nuts and protein to my snacks and that’s helped a lot. Still have to have a little something every 2-3 hours or else I start feeling shitty.

Hot flashes are usually hormone-related. Dizziness can be anemia or electrolytes. I fainted a few weeks back so I started taking magnesium and iron. I will be checked for anemia at next appointment. Your body is working harder than usual with more blood to circulate. Maybe try compression stockings too. I wouldn’t say it’s a problem yet, but let your doctor know and monitor blood pressure/heart rate at home if possible when you experience symptoms.
