Do you say spank or smack?

Spank or smack as in to discipline a child. Where I grew up we always say smack and when we say spank it means like a sexual thing. But I know a lot of people on here say spank or something else. What do you say?

Back in the day we got a smack on the back of the hand or bum and didn’t do us any harm

Specifically like that cause we live in Texas. I got my butt beat is what I called it.
