Doesn’t get me flowers, says he’s over that stage

I love flowers. I always buy them for myself. It would be nice if my boyfriend got me flowers. He only got me flowers once cause he was extremely drunk and I said “you never get me flowers” while passing by a flower stand.

I had a conversation with him yesterday about it. He doesn’t spoil me at all. Not saying That I’m materialistic but it would be nice if he got me at least flowers. He said he passed that lovey dovey stage and he’s too old for that. He’s older than me by a couple years. He’s almost 30 and I’m 25. I responded “well I’m still in that stage where I want flowers.” And he said he’s not going to waste 30 on a bouquet of flowers. I told him a single sunflower, my favorite, is about $5. He said “I’m sorry. I’m not that guy”

I hate hearing stories how he use to do all these things for his previous exes. And with me nothing. He’s the stingiest with me.

He’s admitted I’m the only woman who has been there for him through the lowest points in his life to his highest… yet I’m the worst he treats?

My father use to get my mother flowers all the time before he passed away. There isn’t an age limit to give someone flowers. Simply I’m just not that woman. Deep down I know I’m not the woman he wants to be with
