Steroid Medication while Breastfeeding

Al

Hi,

I am currently dealing with a moderate-severe flare of dyshidrotic hand eczema. This is a new flare and I’ve never experienced my eczema to this severity ever before. With this being said, I am several months postpartum and the doctor prescribed me a topical steroid- Kenalog for my eczema. It is very potent. I have yet to start the treatment as I am at a dilemma because I am breastfeeding. Likewise, this is also a temporary relief and is used to control my symptoms, but my goal is to prevent another flare without the use of steroid medication in the future. With this being said, do you have any natural remedies for eczema therapy? Or have you’ve experienced this medication before?
