Boyfriend tested positive for herpes today…..

Hey guys.. I really don’t know how to even begin this but long story short, my boyfriend and and I (of 6 years) broke up last year for about 6 months. At which time, I slept with two other people (one unprotected) and he slept with one (protected). Today, we are back together and better than ever, and he tests positive for herpes. A part of me thinks for certain that he got it from me considering the only other girl he’s ever been with was when they were like 16. The thing is, I went and got tested when we first got back together and everything came back normal. We have had lots of unprotected sex since getting back together so we are certain that I have it at this point too so it is hard to say if he contracted it from me or not. He told me today that he feels gross and disgusting for having it, that he feels dirty. And that broke me. What if I did this to us? What if I brought this into our relationship? Can anyone offer any advice or anything to soothe my worried soul? I don’t want to lose my soulmate again. I don’t even know if that’s what he is thinking but I am too terrified to ask. Help 😞
