Irritated down there

Honestly I’m not super familiar with all of the technical terms of my vagina, because I was never taught. But recently I have been feeling really itchy and my my vulva (I think that what it’s called) looks really red and kind of swollen. It occasionally hurts too. Idk why it’s like this or what to do.

I’m not and have never been sexually active, so I know that I don’t have any sort of sexually transmitted disease.
