Zika virus??

Hi everyone - my partner and I had booked a trip to Mexico City for January 2022, but this was before I was pregnant. Now I’m a bit worried about the Zika virus even though it’s 2021 and Zika was considered a problem back in 2016/2017.. so we thought about going to San Diego instead, but when I check the Zika virus map on the CDC website, both Mexico City and San Diego are considered the same “alert level” for Zika.

My question is, should we even bother to go to either place? Why is everyone worried about Mexico City but not San Diego (or basically the entire state of California)??

Any words of advice or your own experience with travel/living in those places would be greatly appreciated :)
