Is this my mucus plug??

Question

Hi ladies, all day I have been having this sort of discharge. Could it be my mucus plug? I’m almost 37 weeks. Super low babe and have been cramping for a week now. My cervix has also gone super super soft and can fit a finger in so I would be 1cm. 
Getting checked by my midwife on Wednesday!

Your mucous plug regenerates throughout pregnancy, it is no indication of labour near, unless you have your bloody show which looks like a bloody streaked jellyfish
I would recommend not checking your own cervix unless you are wearing sterile gloves as you don't want to introduce infection. I was dilated 1cm at 37 weeks but didn't go into labour until 40+6. Your body preps for labour AGES before it happens, and first babies are normally very quick to be engaged. My baby was engaged from about 32 weeks. 
I would recommend chilling out, taking walks, taking naps, snacking when you are hungry between meals, stay hydrated. Do some yoga ball bouncing and gentle hips stretches, be on all fours and sway from side to side as that will help loosen your pelvis and make sure baby is in the right position (can help ease back ache. I was back to back and it was very uncomfortable). Some hot water bottles on your  back can help aches too, and some paracetamol is safe to take also.

Yes but it.just means your body is preparing for labor. Mine came out completely and my son didnt show any signs of coming so i was induced
