Trying not to feel hurt and confused?

So my boyfriend and I have been together since Jan 2019 and things haven’t always been the best but we have been working at it. In the beginning, our sex life was super amazing. Before we moved in together, any time we’d see each other he wouldn’t keep his hands off me. But now that we live together, that’s pretty much gone and dead. It’s like he has no sexual desire for me. I brought it up the other day and he said this to me, “the way you want me sexually, I’m not the same towards you”. “I know your intensity sexually towards me is high but that’s just not me”. What does that even mean??? I’m kind of confused. Does that mean I need to back off him because he can’t handle when I want him in that way? But when I stop giving him attention he mopes around. On the other hand, when I become more dominant he gets all weird too. I feel like I’m in a lose lose situation. Does anyone have any advice on this or am I just wasting my time…..
