Who’s still nursing?

Just curious as I’m still nursing my 1 year old daughter and am finding it really draining. I’ve had 2 kids back to back and just need a bit of a break. Don’t get me
Wrong I am so thankful and blessed and love every minute of nursing I just find it’s very draining and I just want my body back. I also find my daughter if she’s on me or near me she just wants to nurse she associates me and nursing so it’s hard to do things without her yanking ar my top getting upset. How many times are you still nursing if so?

We nurse once when waking up in the morning for a few minutes. The rest of the day he gets cows milk or water. No pumping. I feel like my body is pretty back to normal nursing once per day, my period came back two cycles ago, it’s a good happy medium. I do it for the COVID vaccine antibodies.

Still nursing here as well, trying to get her to stop soon.😩 I feel you though, it is exhausting and she bites me sometimes and it’s not fun. 😬

I just went down to once a day nursing at bedtime with my one year old. It’s getting to be very painful again 😣

I nurse on demand at home and pump at work still. I still haven’t figured out when/how to stop so I’m just going to nurse on demand until she wants to stop and figure out how to stop pumping during the day eventually, hopefully soon.

I’m not nursing, but I’m still exclusively pumping. It’s exhausting. I made it 12 months without any problems, and now I am experiencing mastitis. 😩 Great job mama!

I transitioned to formula around 7 or 8 months and now she’s turned 1 will just transition to milk and water :)

I’m on to 3 sessions a day and some days try and skip that middle of the day one but I’m not sure if I’m ready yet. I give her a snack instead

Me! I completely understand the association part of it you’re not alone! I have started weaning…so what I do is I nurse when he first wakes up, then I put bandaids over my nipples and don’t nurse again until his nap time (when he tries to nurse and can’t due to the bandaids it’s not as bad a reaction compared to when I tried just telling him no) then I nurse at nap time and try not to nurse him again until bed time. In a few weeks I will cut out one of the three and then let him adjust to that and so on. Good luck Mama!
