Marriage before pregnancy?

Question

Mid 30s, wedding, ring, house etc. if I do this all in order I'll be 40 before I feel financially "ready" and my chances will be slim on conceiving. Feeling rushed since my partner and I found each other later in life. Thoughts? Anyone is the same boat? Pregnant before a wedding, are we past this social norm rule yet in 2015?

I'm 31 and my SO is 39. We've been together for 3 and a half years. We had been trying for a baby for a year and a half (we're currently 17+6). We for engaged in June this year. The order of things doesn't matter at all. All that matters is that you love each other and are committed to each other ☺

Do the order  that feels right for you two and if that's to have a baby first and then get married later do it that way.. makes the wedding special-er in my opinion because your baby can be part of it with you two. That's what my husband and I did, our first wasn't planned but the best part of our wedding was getting to say our vows to each other AND our child. We actually held him during our vows so along with the rings we have our son as our ultimate symbol of our commitment to each other. Now we're on to number two lol- do what feels  right for you!

My personal opinion is its not the order that important it's about the maturity. To me, marriage, house, etc. come before a baby for younger people who are slowly learning responsibility and finding themselves. So if you were 19 I would say, marriage first etc. but I'm sure if your in your 30's you are a responsible mature adult who can care for a child and it doesn't really matter.

You don't have to have a house or big wedding before you have a baby. But do you want to have a kid with someone you are not ready to commit to for the rest of your life? If the two of you believe in marriage go ahead and get married soon and have that baby. Having a kid with someone is more forever than marriage in my opinion unless one of you will not be involved in raising it.

I dont think the order matters anymore and those who make a big deal out of it should realize its 2015, almost 2016! Times have changed, do what makes you happy and if you feel you and your partner are ready now for a baby, go for it! Plus, some people never know how long it's going to take, took me and my hubby almost 3 years

biblically, you should wait to have sex. if u dont follow that at least b in a stable relationship and financially secured. babies cost

It doesn't matter. If you are ready then do it. People will judge you for any stupid reason. If you have baby before you get married, I'd you have baby later because you wanted to get married first, if you don't have baby at all. There will always be someone who doesn't like it but what matters is your family.
