Question

Is this a red flag i was missing? 
I broke up with my ex but i remember always wanting him to propose to me. He never did. 5 years and he never did. He sure wanted another child and we were trying for another baby even though he knew how much i wanted marriage. He would always stay quiet or changed the subject when it came to marriage. 
Now that i’m not with him, he keeps saying how he wants another kid still with me and that things will get better. I’ve always felt i wasn’t worthy because he would never propose. I’m still really hurt. Thoughts?

Him getting quiet when you bring it up shows that he does not want what you want. 
I am not saying this to be rude hun. But he answered your question by being silent when you bring the topic up. 
And like the others have mentioned, bringing another child doesn’t fix a relationship. 
Being on the same page, communication, comprise and much much more help a relationship.
Don’t get your hopes up that he will propose. Because that silence just says it all babe…

Children do not fix relationships, it's best yall stay separated. It's likely he hasn't changed his mind about marriage since he had so long to propose. HOWEVER, that does not make you unworthy of anything, especially love and admiration from a significant other that will give you a healthy relationship that fits what you want.

I can tell that there’s still feelings involved, that you both need to have a conversation about. Why do you want marriage but he doesn’t ? Before even pursuing into having another child, he has to show you better. Hopefully things will fall into place to the point where the both of you are happy.

Please remember that having a child does not save a relationship, compromising and sacrifices on your part, to make your partner happy, does not fix the relationship either. You set what you wanted, you wanted to get married, he does not, he is not fulfilling your needs, The four main reasons relationships don’t work, 1 your needs not being met, and that goes for every level, emotionally, mentally, physically, sexually, financially, helping around the house, helping with the kids, etc. number 2 you know longer feel connected to your partner and that goes for every level as well, number 3, one person is being selfish while the other person is being selfless, and number 4 you know longer feel supported by your partner and that goes for every level as well. You also have to remember that not everybody looks at marriage the same way. Some people looking at it as it’s just a piece of paper, it means nothing, some people it means everything, did he know at the beginning of a relationship that was a requirement of you, that you required to get married in order to be in a relationship with him. Some people never want to get married, I have a cousin who’s been with a woman 10 to 15 years, he has zero intention of ever marrying her, and they are content just staying together. He had a really messy divorce, and she knows he never wants to get married again. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Douglas, they’ve been together 35 years I think and never got married. If marriage is your goal, do not settle for less than you deserve. Or maybe the relationship no longer serves you need to MoveOn all together. If it has nothing to do with the kids, then you don’t wanna hear. Custody, Child support, visitation, figure it out at the Family Court. And good luck￼￼

I think I would wait until you see a change or a long lasting relationship with him to try for another baby. Why do you want to be married so bad but he doesn’t?  For me marriage is going to be a deal breaker before I start my family …. But why is he so against it??
