9hr days - what’s it like?

I am looking to apply for flexible working when I come off mat leave. I have an office job, normally 9-4:30 and I’m thinking of squishing 28 hours into 3 days, so it will be 7-5 on 3 days a week. Has anyone else done this? Have you regretted it? Too much? Just wanting to get some input from other peoples experience.

I did 9 hour days before my mat leave, 5 days compressed into 4. It’s okay but can be tough with childcare arrangements (I also have a 5 year old). Also if they’re not sleeping and you’re knackered it’s obviously longer to keep going for when all you want to do is go to bed. For me it’s worth it for the day off. I will try it when I go back and see how it works this time. When I went back last time I did just 4 days and then increased later.
