Doctor didn't get the baby out during D&C big mistake..

Writing this in disbelief right now as I was just diagnosed Monday that I was miscarrying as my baby's heart stopped and because my doctor wanted to send the baby in for choromsomal testing, I would need to do a D&C the following day. Well the doctor did it in office very quickly and I received a call

today that he made a big mistake and the lab told him

he missed the entire baby, that there was no fetal tissue in what he sent to the lab.. he missed the entire baby!

So i have to go back in soon and get a second d&c. I can't even believe it. He said he can't even remember the last time he missed a baby in this procedure. Has this happened to anyone else? I did it awake the first time with no sedation and it was absolute hell so i'm going under in the hospital this second time but this is all so horrible and I hope it doesn't endanger my uterus to have this done twice in a week.. i'm still receiving from the first one yesterday.. anyone else experience this??? 😢
