Baptism

My husband and I are planning to baptize my daughter, however we’re not too sure who we’re picking to be her godparents. He’s not too convinced on having his older sister and her husband to be the godparents and I’m not either. He kind of wants his best friend of 12 years and his wife to be her godparents. I’ve know his best friend for over 4 years, I know he’s a good guy but I don’t really know his wife too well, when I talk to her she seems nice And I like having conversations with her. But my mother in law had told us that my baby’s godparents should stay in the family and not friends because friends leave and family doesn’t. However, I’m afraid that if we don’t chose my sister in law she’s going to be mad at us. I think she expects us to pick her since she’s the oldest and is married. What do you think? What should we do ?
