Son sleeping in his own room at 11 weeks?

Question

So we moved my son to his own room to sleep this week. He is just so very sensitive to background noise. Weve tried sound machines and they dont help. So we figured moving him to his own room with a sound machine would help. We have a video baby monitor to we are able to see and hear him.
He is finally only waking a couple times a night to eat but otherwise sleeping well. I figured we finally found what works well for us. I was then told that he should not be sleeping in his own room yet. Am i a bad mom for mom for moving him to his own room before 6 months old?

Some babies sleep in their own rooms from birth. Babies tend to sleep much better in their own space, and babies need sleep. As long as he's in a crib with nothing but a tight fitted sheet, he is fine. ❤️

All three of mine moved out around 12 weeks and everyone slept better that way. If something is going to happen to them in their sleep it can happen in my room too. They were more comfortable in their crib as they outgrew bassinet so soon and the pack and play wasn’t ideal overnight. They did t wake hearing us roll over or get up to pee or wake to my husbands alarm.

I moved both my kids around 8 weeks. It was better sleep for all of us and they were safe. As long as you're following the proper guidelines while in his own room, you've done nothing wrong ❤

Not at all!!  Guidance is guidance, not a rule.  Folks seem a bit confused on this point.  Guidance: sleep share until 6 months.  Rule: use a car seat when driving with your child.  There is a difference.  One there is flexibility for you to decide with your doctor what to do.  The other there is not. Car seat every time.  
You know your baby and know what is best.  Talk to your pediatrician and see what they say about your baby developmentally.  You are definitely not being a bad mom.  You got this!  💛

No you’re not a bad mom. 
Many babies have slept in their own room since birth.
That’s the recommendation to help avoid SIDS. When they are in their own room, it’s hard to monitor baby’s temperature, get to them quickly, and what not. 
I moved my girl at 3 months. She’s was starting to roll and just wiggle a lot in her bassinet. Plus, with two dogs, I feel better at night with her shut in her own room. I have a video monitor with room temperature alert, 100% breathable mattress (this is the number 1 reason I feel she’s safe), nothing in or near her crib, and check on her often. 
As long as you are following safe sleep (put down on back, firm flat surface, nothing in crib, no blanket, no stuffed animal, no crib bumpers, no lounger, just a fitted crib sheet if that) for your babe, I wouldn’t worry.

Safe sleep is your responsibility. So are you expecting people telling you that you are a bad mom just because you knowingly break one of safe sleep rules?
No. That doesn't make you a bad mom, if you know the risks and do anything you can to minimize them.
I personally had a plan on keeping my son in my room for a year. But... Covid hit etc, we could not get a bigger appartment, so he is 1.5 and still in our room. I do think he would sleep better alone. But 🤷‍♀️ can't do anything about it now.

My son was in his own room and sleeping on his tummy at 5 weeks. He is now a thriving 5 month old. You are not a bad mom at all!!

Both my kids were in their own rooms straight from the hospital. We made the decision based on what worked for our family. I don’t feel like a bad Mum for doing it. We followed all other safe sleep guidelines except room sharing. It heavily reduced the risk of me feeding them in my bed and falling asleep with them, and my husband works with heavy machinery so needs proper rest so it was safer for him also.
