How long did your Covid symptoms last?

My husband just tested positive and I’m shitting bricks. I haven’t left the house except for two appointments for our newborn since she was born, she’s just over a month old now. We also have a 16 month old. My babies aren’t showing any symptoms, I also tested negative. I’m still wearing a mask around them. Just wondering how long you felt sick? My husband is double vaccinated, I was booked for my shot next week, I’m hoping I’ll be able to go still. Please share your experiences, if your babies got sick what did they show first for symptoms? How did you make your symptomS ease up? Any supplements or foods that helped?

Husband and I had symptoms for about 3 days....mild. Fever, aches and pains, and tiredness. By day 4 we pretty much felt back to normal. My toddlers were only sickly for 24 hours and then right back to normal. 
Take fever reducer, vitamin D3, elderberry, zinc and your multi. Drink lots of water, eat when hungry and walk around as often as you are able to. Watch the symptoms and if you get into trouble seek medical attention asap. 
Oh, and shut the news off.

Mine lasted about a week. Besides taste and smell its been 4 months and I don’t think my taste and smell will ever be the same again. For me it was terrible. Extreme body aches, exhaustion, no appetite and my skin was so sensitive. Felt like I had a bad sunburn or something. Literally showered or soaked in a bath like 3 times a day because that’s the only thing that made me feel better. I never got my kids tested but me and my husband both had it so I’m pretty sure my kids did too they ran a fever and felt bad for a day and were fine the next day. My 1 year old got an ear infection not sure if it was related to covid but I’ve heard a lot of the littles ending up with ear infections shortly after having covid. My friend and all her kids had it and she said you couldn’t even tell anything was wrong with her kids. They never even acted like they felt bad.

My almost 3 year old  and 18 month old had a fever of 102. They were very down and eating was a hit or miss. That lasted about 5 days. The day their fever broke they both had some diarrhea but it was not too bad. That lasted another 3-4 days .

16mo old had a fever for one day and a runny nose, less appetite, and extra tired for about a week. She still played and laughed. I had what felt like a mild head cold for about a week and a half (if we didn’t know it was Covid, I would never have considered taking off work), my husband had a more moderate head cold, lost taste and smell, and was pretty wiped out for about two weeks. Our 3 year old never had a symptom but did test positive, which we we’re actually thrilled about because it meant he could go back to daycare more quickly.

My 10 year old had a headache(day 1 only), slight uncomfortable throat and the sniffles for 3 days.  My 6 month old had a fever for 2 days, stuffy nose and mild cough which lasted about a week. I had a headache day one and sniffles/mild cough for a few days. I lost my sense of taste and smell after those few days and it lasted a couple weeks before I got it back. My boyfriend didn't catch it despite being around all of us and no changes to our daily life. All unvaxed.

It was just like a really bad flu for us. My husband got a 105 degree fever, but he healed in about a week. I had a cough lingering for about 2 weeks and no taste and smell for two months.

For me it was a long week of just extra exhaustion. All i (unvaccinated) needed was extra sleep. My husband (double vaxed) was fine for most of it except he had really bad body aches. My 2 year old had a few days of fever and not feeling good but bounced right back. My baby (4 months at the time) had a bad congestion and sleepiness for almost 2 weeks but as soon as we started a saline and booger sucker routine she got better pretty quickly

My 14 year old daughter and I both had covid at the same time in September……..she said she just felt “dead” body aches and just tired and after about a week she started feeling better but for me I was worse but my 1st symptom was lost of taste and smell but after about 4 days I was in the ER low oxygen and major bad headaches I got but on day 5 I got the antibody infusion and after 2-3 days I felt better but I’m still 3 months later dealing with covid issues like the lost of taste and smell (I’m getting it back but not fully) my breathing every now and again feels like I’m low of oxygen but my oxygen reader says I’m 96%-98% but doctors say that’s normal. My hubby and 6 yr old thankfully didn’t catch it.
