Tubes tied at 21? Looking for advice.

Hey, so my doctor is allowing me to have the option to get my tubes tied since the requirements have changed. I’ve thought about this since getting pregnant with my second and losing him due to the circumstances in which he popped up to begin with. Have thought about it for months but I’m just NOT sure. I feel like this would be the best option for me as my first born completes me and I personally don’t ever wanna be pregnant again as it’s hard enough on my body. (I can’t carry to term)..
Is there anyone who decided to get their tubes tied this young? How did it go? How do you feel afterwards about your decision? I’m very aware that this is permanent and to reverse it, it’s a 50/50 chance of even having kids afterwards. I’m just on the fence.
My doctor is saying that or an IUD would be an appropriate option as well. I just don’t like the idea of putting hormones into my body. I like it to just go natural as I already have PCOS and don’t wanna do anything to make it worse as it gives me hair in weird places and makes my acne worse.
Any advice or experience stories would be much appreciated!!!❤️❤️❤️

One of my friends had 3 kids by 20 and had her tubes tied at 23 because she was hell bent on never having more. She’s now 34 and undergoing IVF because things change. It’s been over 10 years and she’s in a totally different place than she was. We met when she was 22 but she had her first kid at 17 and twins at 20. 2 different dads, a lot of baby daddy dramaand we were both working low end jobs just to get paid. She always joked “I’m getting fixed because I only pick dead beats.” She actually ended up meeting a doctor through our job about 5 years ago and they just clicked and she’s in a completely different situation that she never thought she’d be in. Her now husband is a wonderful man and treats her so well. Shes older, her baby daddies are older, her kids are older. Her whole situation has matured tremendously from when we met. 
You know yourself the best and the reasons why you want to have the procedure.

I just wanted to comment and let you know they have a non hormonal IUD. That's the one I had. I didn't like the idea of hormones being put in my body either. The non hormonal IUD (brand name paraguard) lasts 10 years. No hormones. You just may have heavier periods.

So i was watching an obgyn on youtube who did a video react from "i didnt know i was pregnant" and she mentioned something about how the younger you are when you get your tubes tied, the more chance for it to fail and you fall pregnant later on." You can look up mama dr jones on YouTube and watch her video im talking about if you want. Also though, like others said make sure youre 100% sure you dont want any more kids before you decide on this. Good luck with your decision!

You can get the copper IUD without hormones that's what I'm going to do. Don't lock yourself in so young leave yourself the option for at least a few more years. Things change believe me!!

You could also get the rod put in if it’s an option for you. They last 3 years and are a lot easier to get put in or taken out.

Personally, at that age I would go for something temporary for birth control for the “just in case” you ever change your mind because if we’re being honest, things do change sometimes lol. I know a woman who got her tubes tied in her early 20’s, because she already had 3 kids by 2 different dads who she wasn’t married too, and neither of the relationships worked with either baby daddy. She thought she didn’t want anymore. But then later down the line in her late 20’s she got married and her and her husband wanted a child together so bad. They’ve been married for almost 9 years now and have accepted that it probably won’t happen, since tubal reversal is expensive and also not 100% , especially after how long it’s been. 
But ultimately it is your decision :) you do sound like you have some doubt and question as to if you want to do it tho, and if that’s the case I would definitely think on it longer

Full disclosure: I have not had my tubes tied. If you aren’t 100% certain about this procedure, I recommend you wait until you are before going through with it. Circumstances can change drastically from 21 to 31 and you may find yourself wanting another child. I know the idea of hormonal birth control isn’t ideal to you, but I’ve loved my mirena IUDs. No period, stable mood, the hormones are low dose, and it lasts for 5+ years. You just set it, have the placement checked, and forget about it for 5 years. Rinse and repeat.

I’m 24 and HOPING my dr will consider allowing me to get mine tied.. however I’m afraid she’ll say I’m too young to make that decision .. I’m currently pregnant with baby 3

No. I personally say do something temporary at that age. Unless you are 120 percent that you don’t want anymore kids, do not do it. I also have problems with pregnancies and going to term. It’s a difficult journey
