Out of town go bags

HN

My mother brought up something I've been thinking about recently. With my first two babies, we lived 20 minutes from the hospital. Thank goodness, cause when they come —the come fast! With this one, we live about 45 minutes to an hour away. Depending on road conditions. Add some time if it's heavy snow fall.

Anyway, my mom made a comment about my go bag looking different this time around. I didn't think about it, but what's in yours if you have a longer drive to get to where you're planning on giving birth? I wouldn't do a home birth as I've had some sort of complication both times.

Towels

Sanitary gloves

Extra blanket's

What else will we need?

Thanks!

ETA: I'm asking in case we ending up having the baby on the road. We live where there can be many obstacles in Alaska. Some of the heaviest snow and shittiest road conditions comes around the time our baby is due. My other two have come very fast. I don't want to rely on what will be supplied at the birthing center, but on my own go bag.
