Tw: Does Covid cause miscarriage?

I think I may have been directly exposed. Currently waiting to find out. 
Someone said it causes miscarriage. I'm 16w Tuesday and concerned

Any virus can cause miscarriage or complications if it gets severe like pneumonia. I had my oldest 9 years ago....serious illness and flu has always been concerning.

I had Covid at 12 weeks pregnant. I got the antibody infusion to help prevent hospitalization or further complications. I did not miscarry. I can only speak to my own experience.

I got covid after Halloween this year (I was fully vaccinated). My symptoms were not severe although not fun (super tired, sneezing, lost taste and smell). I didn’t get a fever or struggle with oxygen so I was lucky and thankful I was vaxxed. I had a virtual visit with an OB who kept track of my and my symptoms (if you are positive, I would recommend this for some quick attention and answers). They did offer me the antibody infusion but because I wasn’t struggling too bad she said it probably isn’t worth it because it’s so new there aren’t really any studies yet on if it can interfere with your pregnancy. I decided not to risk it since I was managing okay. The biggest risk is if you get covid later as it can cause preterm birth. If you get a mild case early on chances are you will be ok. Just stay in touch with a dr and go to emergency room if your oxygen drops below 92.

But if you have it full on, temperature, breathing trouble etc, then it is a problem.

Just keep your doctor informed of your symptoms especially of they get bad like a fever, or if it's hard to breathe. Stay positive I had it around 19 weeks. I'm 37 weeks now.

Ig it depends. 
I got extremely sick and had to go into the hospital to be monitored. I couldn't keep anything in my body which isn't good for the baby. 
I went and got my vaccine after I was done with covid. The doctor very bluntly told me if I got it again that bad, that it could be detrimental to me and the baby. 
In some cases it can also start causing the baby to slow in growth so an extra scan at the end of your pregnancy may be needed.

It depends on baby. I know of a family friend that dhe lost her baby in the 3rd trimester fee weeks before baby was due when she had covid but seeing post on here others are fine. Dont stress because it makes it worse for baby . Hope its not too bad and u get better soon.remember to eat and drink lots of fluids and dont stress

Don’t panic. Just about everyone does fine with Covid. I had it at 21 weeks and it was very, very mild. I started taking vitamin c, d3 and zinc as soon as I knew I was exposed (wasn’t/am not vaccinated).
As others have said, the danger is if you get a crazy fever, it can cause issues. But that goes for any Illness.
