Am I being nosy?

I kinda feel bad being “that” gf but I’m genuinely concerned.

About 3-4 months ago, my bf was experiencing sharp abdominal pains after every meal and rectal bleeding. Since I have IBS, I thought maybe he had that too. I have ulcerative colitis!

We noticed his bleeding would occur after eating foods with extra spices. He let it slide for about a month. At that time, my bf confessed he was drinking a lot but he said he was not alcoholic. He just said he had a couple of beers everyday. I didn’t see beer cans. I saw hard liquor like vodka.

He finally went to the doctor and they did blood work. They also suggested a colonoscopy! He didn’t show me the blood results which I never asked him to show me. Those are his private things to keep! I mention this because this is where I question myself. Can blood results detect alcoholism ? Like a bad liver??

I asked him what the doctor recommended and all he said was “I have to cut down the alcohol”

I have a feeling he knows he’s an alcoholic but won’t tell me.

Fast forward, yesterday he told me he was going to get some burgers. Then he told me he bought a little shot of vodka. I was upset. I told him he needs to take care of himself. He told me I’m being nosy and I can’t tell him what to do.
