std test

so this gonna be kinda long but i want to hear other peoples inputs. i will be going back in a few weeks for another test just to be 100% sure. but about a year ago i had a couple of bumps pop up on my labia, i went and they tested me and said i had herpes. well, a couple weeks ago i went to have a std panel done and my herpes came back negative. can i test positive and it be wrong? and i also tested positive for chlamydia, but that means it’s been untreated for about a month or so, could that potentially affect my fertility down the road?? i just got my results back today and this has kinda shocked me!
