Too soon?

Mindy

Currently 23 weeks and working in healthcare. I work in an in-home setting so it’s me, the patient and her elderly parents. The patient is 45 y/o, 150 lbs, and total care. There are days where she is helpful and rolls on her own but lately she’s been too stiff and I have to pull, push, and occasionally lift (because her mother is afraid she will easily bruise if I pull and push on her). My question is, is it too soon to ask my OB for work restrictions because lately I’ve been feeling pain that radiates to both legs from my abdomen and suspect it’s from work when my patient is too stiff, sometimes it causes me to call out the next night because I cannot get up. I’ve spoken to one of the OBs from our OBGYN (they don’t assign you just one, you meet with everyone there) and when I brought it up all she could tell me was “drink more water and wear a belly support” Which felt like she wasn’t even listening to my complaint about pain. I meet with another in February but the pain is really bad. Is it too soon to ask for a medical note to be put on light duty?

Sorry for the long rant.
