Do what I want?

I’m super frustrated with my partner. We have a 3 bedroom place and 4 kids. The 2 big kids share one room. Then in another room is me, my partner, our 2.5 year old, and our 6 month old. The third bedroom, my partner uses as storage and for his weight bench. I asked him when he’s planning to clear that out for the little kids, and he said not for another 2 years at least 😱

I told him I really want to get our 2 year old in his own room because we’re all 4 sharing a full sized bed which means my partner chooses to go to the couch so he can get some sleep. Which leaves me alone dealing with the kiddos all night (he tells me just to come get him but it ends up being easier to deal with myself than running downstairs and attempting to wake the sleeping log). He told me our 2 year old is way too young to go in his own room 🤯

So then I told him we can still convert it and put the babies’ stuff in there and a full sized bed so he can sleep with him in there. He said there’s no point in that because he is traveling for work so often right now. So I said we can still do that, he can sleep with him in there when he’s home, sleep with me when he isn’t, but all their STUFF can get out of our bedroom.

Right now, my partner has the closet 100% stuffed with his clothes and boxes of shoes (he seriously has like 40 pairs of Nikes!). The babies have my dresser. I have 2 laundry baskets with my folded clothes on the floor at the end of the bed that I have to climb around to pee at night. We have a dresser for the babies that I bought while pregnant with my toddler but it’s out in the garage because we don’t have space in our bedroom for it.

So my partner is also gone for work up to 8 weeks at a time. He’s leaving for 6 weeks now.

He won’t listen to reason but he also isn’t dealing with any hardships over our living situation.

Would I be the worst person ever if I converted that room and moved his weight bench to the garage and his stored stuff to the attic while he’s gone? 😬
