Almost a vegetable within days :/

A family member got sick with pneumonia and they have underlying health conditions. Nurses gave him medicine they weren’t supposed to twice and he started slowly loosing his mind and not making sense when he talks. This led to a lot of organs failing and now he has brain damage. Some doctors say it’s because he has pneumonia and the brain doctor said it’s because of an overdose. I feel so sad to see them like this and it happened so quickly. They don’t know if he will recover and aren’t giving any answers. This is in a small town and there’s not a lot of hospitals. Don’t know what to do
