Newborn giggles?!?!

My little Luci is 5 days old and yesterday she giggled as she was falling asleep! I thought to myself no way that was a giggle.. Then three more times today she giggled, dad witnessing the latest, all happened as she was falling asleep. So I googled it and apparently many more people have had their newborn giggle, mostly as they fall asleep. Curious if any of you have seen this in your baby, and just what is it?? Is it a real giggle? They say smiles are just gas at this stage, idk about that bc she doesn't seem gassy. I'm just flabbergasted bc I've never seen that before in my other two or in any other newborn I've seen.
