Spitting Up/Puking
I’m starting to freak out just a tad bit. My baby girl is 4 weeks old today. And her pediatrician is a absolute joke. 😅 While in the hospital (had her on a Monday at 8:32pm and left Wednesday at like 2pm) she was breastfeeding (with a nipple shield) and when we got home she wanted nothing to do with my bare nipple or the nipple shield. So luckily I had some formula and gave her some formula. The next day (Thursday) we had to go to children’s because her jaundice level was high and she needed some light therapy. While there I was pumping but they wanted me to give her formula. When we got sent home 24 hours later I started giving her my breast milk again and took the formula completely out of her diet. Well I was pumping barley enough to accommodate her feeding needs so I asked her pediatrician if I could give her a bottle or two of formula and she shut me down real quick. 🥺 And then tried telling me to only pump however much she eats and that’s it. (I was wanting to stock pile too!) And I was dumb and listened, and it left me engorged. So I pumped until I was empty. And then starting a few days ago I started giving her a bottle of formula a day so I could save and freeze what I pump when she eats the formula. Well she literally throws almost everything she eats up. Regardless if it’s breast milk or formula. And the doctor said she’s fine because she’s gaining weight. Well over the last 2-3 days she is throwing up ALOT more than normal. Like I’m pretty sure she’s throwing up everything she’s eating because she’s hungry writhing 30-60 minutes of her eating. And she was pooping every time I changed her and now she only has a poopy diaper 2-4 times a day. I just don’t know what to do anymore and feel so bad.
