Help cold sore

I’m order to get genital herpes it needs to be direct contact with a cold sore right?

My husband and me made out last night then he gave me oral. Then a few hours later my lip was thingy and this morning I woke up with a cold sore. But I did not give him oral.

Are we in the clear?
