How long after your c section did you have your first poop???

I had my c section 5days ago an was just wondering how ling after did you have a poo an was it painful?? As when I had my last child though a c section I left it for about 2.3weeks after to poo as I was scared it was gonna be painful so I just waited that long that it just come out it's self...

Day after surgery. I couldn’t leave the hospital until I did that and passed gas.

Mine was the day after surgery. Same as a few others have said, I wasn’t able to leave until having a poo.

I had it within those 4 days at the hospital. They told me they didn’t want me to leave with out doing it. Don’t really remember if it was painful. Probably not as bad bc I remember the most painful things about that experience.

Took my about 4-5 days after surgery. I had to use some miralax in order to go. I used a pillow to hug while I went. I was mostly scared, it wasn't that bad though.

Maybe the next day.  My hospital starts giving you stool softener right after birth.  I have had a csection and vaginal and pooping hasnt hurt. just keep stool softener in your system

It was about a week for me.. I was taking stool softeners at the time and I didn’t have any pain whatsoever. I was really nervous about it for no reason! Good luck to you!

Usually day 2 but last pregnancy it was like day 5.

I think 4 or 5 days after, but I was taking lactulose the whole time so it was fine

I did the day after surgery.  And it wasn’t so horrible.  But obviously isn’t pleasant.
