anybody give birth alone with just hospital staff?? I have to for this third pregnancy cuz we moved to a new state and i don't know anyone.. hubby staying home with our toddlers

Would love to hear your experience if you were alone.. was it as horrible as I'm imagining it to be

I did with my third and it was a very empowering experience. I ended up having the long mirror rolled in front of me and pulled my baby out myself (my midwife let me). 
And I will be doing the same with this baby as well!
My husband stays home with the kids as we don’t trust anyone to watch them. He will come with them to see baby when he comes out and then they’ll come back and pick me up after our stay.

Happened to me with both my csections 😅 the first turned emergent and my husband couldn’t get suited up and in there on time.
The second baby we had just moved across the country and knew no one so we had no one to watch our then 2 1/2 year old while I had a C-section (it wasn’t scheduled baby came early). 
Both times it was me and the hospital staff honestly if I had to do it again I would, but I sure wish my husband was there holding my hand instead of the anesthesiologist both times.

I did with my third and plan on it with my fourth. It’s a very powerful moment and those first few minutes with the baby are incredible. I cut my daughters cord and the nurses were just very supportive the whole time

I’m having a home birth but we’re hiring a doula to stay upstairs with my daughter. I’m sure I *could* manage without my husband, but I don’t really want to.

I would do anything not to have to birth alone. It is always such a great bonding time between me, my husband, and our new baby and I wouldn’t want to miss that. Even if it meant hiring a sitter. 
I am also extremely exhausted after birthing and I don’t like baby to leave the room while in hospital, so I need help caring for baby. Although I couldn’t have managed on my own, it just would have been very tough to stay awake. 
I couldn’t even pick up my last baby after my C-section, so I couldn’t imagine recovering that time on my own. I was also heavily medicated for pain and nausea and was nodding out continuously the first 24 hours. 
On two occasions I had my other children with us when I labored and birthed in the hospital. 3 Children were 10 and under the first time, and the second time we had a 3 and 2 year old in the room with us. My MIL picked them up hours after the births. This last time for my emergency c section our oldest (15 now) stayed home with the kids while hubby stayed at the hospital to help. I’m glad we weren’t forced to have kids with us or I was forced to be alone. It would have been a scary experience. It was everything to be when my husband looked at me while I was strapped down on the table and said encouraging words.

This almost happened to me. I was elective c-section so somehow we had time to plan. Friend of ours looked after our child for that day just for the few hours of pre-op, surgery and recovery then husband went home to take care of our toddler. He only came back to pick me up at discharge. So the entire time i was by myself in the hospital. The only hard part is when they had me care for my baby the next day through discharge which was hard post c-section. But L&D nurses were amazing! So if you really will got thru this without ur spouse because he has to care for your other kids, nurses from L&D ward have that caring nature especially with pandemic protocols and visitations still being implemented. You’ll be fine momma.

I should have done it alone. Lol. My man is so afraid of hospitals & doctors that he pretty much went outside every chance he got. He was there for the physical birth but not much else in my 3 day stay. He has a lot of anxiety about hospitals & feels ill the entire time.

No BUT I will say my husband and my mom were totally useless when I was in labor and my nurse helped me the most 😂 I will say I do recommend seeing if you can find anyone at all to stay with your kids. I had an emergency c section and was unable to get out of bed at all for the first day after I had my son, Hopefully that doesn’t happen to you but it’s always a possibility

To he honest. I half did it on my own. I was prepped for it also, because covid had restrictions a week before I gave birth, they started allowing a dad in (and I went to 41+5, so at my due date it was not even allowed yet, so I was fully thinking I will be alone by birtj).
At first my husband had nothing to do, he was just there reading and sleeping, my labor was long and well maybe he helped me to toilet to pee a few times, because I had all the epidural and iv pumps on me, but a nurse could have helped me move also, I had a nurse button. When it came to the pushing part, I was not allowed and wheeled to urgent csection. He was not allowed there. I was sent to intensive care but baby was given to father somewhere. If dad would have not been there, baby would have been in nursery with nurses. In my view from intensive care where the baby was not allowed into, there was not much difference 🤷‍♀️
The only part where it was good he was there was the four days after birth, we had to stay in hospital and he could carry the baby to me and change diapers. But I also had a nurse button and was told to ask help if needed, they usually came fast. But if you somehow get home sooner, it even doesn't matter much.
