Our birth story❤️🥰

This morning was finally out scheduled induction day. We arrived at the hospital at 5:30am. I was on the IV with pitocin running by 6. From there I had lab work and everything done before the doctor even made it in at 7:30. I was at 3cm and still 70% effaced upon arrival. The dr came in and broke my water at 8:10 and, as always, the contractions immediately started coming fast and furious once my water was broken. I think I made it 2 hours before I was asking for an epidural, at which point I was 4.5cm. We were waiting for my platelet level to okay to epidural and thank GOD they came back in an okay range for it! The anesthesiologist was up within 20 min and soon thereafter I had so much relief. Best epidural I’ve had since my first. An hour later the nurse came in to check my progress and I was at 7cm. An hour later I was still at 7cm but fully effaced and baby boy was pushing down. We knew it would go quick from there. I was told to call when I started feeling pressure. 30 min later I called the nurse in and it was go time! 10 pushes in I needed a minute to rest and his little body was halfway out. I’ve never had that happen with any of my boys, but there is no resting when a child is halfway out of your body😳. I mustered up some strength and with 2 more big pushes our sweetheart was out and in my arms. He was born at 12:30pm at 8lb 5.5oz and 19.5 inches long. He latched on immediately upon us starting skin to skin and it was such a great feeling to see him naturally knowing what to do. He nursed on and off for 2 hours before we moved to postpartum. Sweet little man is just as pleasant as can be, resting in his bassinet now. After 2 months of failed NSTs and BPP ultrasounds wondering why he’s acting so strange on the monitors, it was the biggest relief in the world to see him happy and healthy as can be. We are absolutely in love already🥰❤️
